Delightful Deco Kitchen

Kitchen Transformation

This kitchen was redesigned to feel more connected to the character of the house while providing a much more practical and generous workspace.

A key part of the design was joining the existing timber benchtop to the granite worktop and adding substantial timber legs. This transformed the junction into what feels like a traditional piece of furniture—a kitchen table integrated into the working kitchen.

The sink was relocated into the bay window, making the most of the natural light and garden outlook. Curved cabinetry was introduced to echo the curved cupboards already found in the hallway, creating a subtle connection between the kitchen and the rest of the home.

The client also wanted her pantry items to be easily accessible, so generous open shelving was incorporated into the kitchen rather than hiding everything behind closed doors.

The result is a kitchen that combines traditional detailing and furniture-like cabinetry with practical storage and a more open, sociable layout—designed specifically around the way the client uses the space.
