"I believe every home should reflect the people who live there. My role is to listen, understand how you live and create a home that is both beautiful and practical."
Since 2001, I've been helping homeowners throughout Wellington transform their homes through thoughtful interior design. Whether it's a single room or a complete renovation, every project begins by understanding my clients, their lifestyle and what they want their home to become.
I believe successful design is about far more than choosing colours and finishes. It's about solving problems, improving the way you live and creating spaces that continue to bring enjoyment for many years.
From the initial concept through to the completed project, I work closely with clients, builders and tradespeople to ensure every detail is carefully considered and every project is delivered to the highest standard.
Over more than 25 years, I've been fortunate to receive industry awards, international speaking invitations and, most importantly, the trust of clients who continue to recommend my work to family and friends.
If you're planning a renovation or building a new home, I'd love to help you create a home that feels uniquely yours.
AWARDS
TRENDS GOLD AWARD
RESENE COLOUR MAESTRO
BATHROOM DESIGN OF THE YEAR 2012
Awarded to a stand out design that the Editors chose as their personal favourite entry to the NKBA Awards. The judges loved the interesting use of pattern in a traditional bathroom. The dramatic wallpaper and customed tiled floor pattern created drama in a small room.
This bathrooms bold use of colour caught the judges eye at the Resene Colour Awards. Inspired by the historic coloured glass window Debra brought these colours to the ceiling, walls and even the bath. Debra is well known for interesting use of lighting and this job was no exception.
Debra’s second Bathroom designer of the year award was described by the judges as beautifully detailed. A small space that was made to look bigger with the use of a custom all mirror vanity, glossy tiles and beautiful lighting. “Simply Stunning”

Debra was fabulous to work with on the renovation and design of our master bedroom, ensuite, bathroom, and dining and living areas. She made making decisions much easier by helping us to narrow down choices and gently nudged us toward some much bolder ideas. We absolutely love the end product.Read More

We approached Debs to assist with the design of a complicated tile porch floor - a focal point for a larger architecture-landscape project to create a sense of "arrival" at our house. The floor introduced colour and pattern to an otherwise restrained setting. Our positive experience with Debs and this piece of work led to other areas of aesthetic refresh and focus inside the house, including some built-in furniture, wallpaper and paint, light fixtures, throw pillows, and a bathroom reno. Most of these projects were limited in scope and insertions within existing rooms/environments, but in all cases lifted the visual interest of the room. She challenged us in a very positive way to introduce more colour and pattern when we might have made more conservative choices - the house is so much more interesting now.Read More

Debra was fantastic from the planning through to execution and follow-up. She gave us very good advice, listened to our wishes and helped us push our boundaries to end up with a better result than we would have ever achieved on our own. She was great at liaising with tradies and ensuring that her vision (and ours) was realised. We would definitely recommend her to anyone considering major renovations.Read More

We've worked with Debra on a number of projects. She is well organised and a pleasure to work with.
Sometimes, when partway through a project I look at some of the components and I scratch my head, but when I see it all completed, when all the components are in place, I can then see what only she could see at the start - it's all working in complete harmony, and what seemed like a brave selection or choice is now perfectly positioned and meant to be.Read More
